Its direct fuel-injection system and turbocharged-aftercooled configuration are designed to support efficient combustion, strong load response, and consistent power delivery under varying operating conditions. The G200QI is equipped with a Mecc Alte ECP38-2S4A four-pole alternator featuring star-connected windings, Class H insulation, and IP23 enclosure protection. The alternator uses a self-regulating brushless excitation system with DSRL voltage regulation and provides ±1% steady-state voltage regulation. The generator delivers 415/240 V three-phase output at a 0.8 power factor and operates at 50 Hz and 1500 rpm.

The G200QI is designed for practical operation and serviceability in demanding environments. The published specification provides 50% maximum single-step load acceptance, a 310-litre fuel tank, and a Deep Sea control system with LiveLink capability. The standard canopy measures approximately 4000 × 1300 × 2050 mm, with a published dry weight of approximately 2900 kg. The enclosure provides a sound level of less than 75 dB at 1 metre.
